LINDA HARRISS, RN, LPC

Linda Harriss is registered nurse and a licensed professional counselor in private practice in Brownwood, Texas. Linda opened Harriss Center for Counseling in 1994. She counsels individuals and families, many of whom suffer from the effects of mental, emotional, and sexual abuse. Linda is also the author of But God, Where Are You? Finding Hope In the Difficult Journey of Environmental Illness and Nobody Understands My Pain: Dealing with the Effects of Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Abuse. She frequently testifies in court as an expert witness on the issue of abuse. Linda’s main focus in counseling individuals, is teaching them how to change their lives, through the power and healing that comes by applying the principles of God’s Word. Part of Linda’s role as a counselor is to teach clients how to have a healthier life through healthy eating and living chemically free. Linda speaks at conferences for churches, schools, organizations, universities, parent, and civic groups. Linda and her husband, Earl, have been married since 1969. They have two children, Christie and Greg, married to Rick Applewhite and Sally Sue Wyatt Harriss. They have seven grandchildren, Graham, Raney, Caroline, Wyatt, Lily, Luke, and Lila.
